Heyy People, When trying to start Steam on my Mac Book Pro (Version 10.6.8) yesterday, the sign popped up as loading, however quit again after a short while. I've tried opening it a couple of other times and every time it quit and said: Ignore, Send Report or Reopen. Reopening and restarting my mac didn't work. Even after it updated today I still had the same issue and it still crashes.

(2 days ago it still worked without issues.) Now what's weird: I have to accounts on my mac: On the one account Steam works normally, no problems at all, however as soon as I log onto my actual account which I use daily, I have the same problem again. Alright guys I fixed the problem on my own, after doing lots of more research and after steam told me that i can't replace the new steam app in the application folder saying: ipcserver error. So here is what you need to do if you have the same problem: 1.

Open Terminal 2. Type: killall ipcserver 3.

Delete the App in the Application folder and delete the Folder in the Library under Application Support 4. Redownload Steam from it's official website and install (It'll update) 5. Launch (It should work!!!!!) However in my case I had to redownload all games, so I believe there was an error with the games or the library, no clue. Hope this helped or will help you!;).
