Kef Replacement Driver For Mac
Hey guys So the coil in my KEF PSW 2150 driver seems to be giving out as it gives out a loud buzz sound after maybe 15 mins of listening Based on the specs can you folks recommend a decent 10 inch driver. I tried a car subwoofer ( Polk 104dvc) with OK results but I think the 2 ohm load might have been the issue with the sound sounding uneven. I would prefer buying from Part express but I am open to other options. I have also been playing the Winisd but because I don't know the frequency of the Vented BOX other than internal volume being 40.4 Litres I have no way of getting an accurate reading. I don't mind using Car subwoofers if they sound good. So 250Watt amp 40.4 litres of internal volume.

You can't just throw another driver of the same size and expect it to perform as well as the old one. Some of the other guys who have a lot more knowledge than I do can help you. See that's the thing. KEF won't release any info about the driver or the vent frequency of the box.
And that link in the first post is the only official info about the sub. I was hoping someone who has experience with this sub would chime in.
