My CD/DVD R/W drive HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA Device) is no longer recognized. I've spent hours downloading driver updates, etc. Error message is ' Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.

The device is not listed in the Vista Compatability Center (though that doesn't mean it isn't compatable - just that it hasn't been tested) but a whole bunch of HT-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA devices are and they're all compatable (including the T40N): - so that probably isn't the problem.
